The Pixie Dust is a lot of fun to use as Sugar, especially for those who find the Sugars a bit too coarse!
Create the Sugar effect:
Apply your gel polish as usual with a color of your choice and cure it (Paint gel by #LVS is also extremely suitable for this and you must also cure according to the prescribed curing times).
If you want a Sugar effect, apply Power Seal by #LVS, Prime Seal by #LVS or Rubber Base Clear by #LVS after curing (use the product that you feel comfortable with).
Our advice is to use one of the two Top Gels mentioned because they do not leave a sticky layer after curing.
Apply the Pixie Dust over the uncured Power Seal by #LVS, Prime Seal by #LVS or Rubber Base Clear by #LVS and cure it for double the cure time.
The double cure time is necessary because you apply a layer of pigmented glitter over the gel, which makes the gel more difficult to cure. Make sure that the Pixie Dust layer is not applied extremely thick.
Gently brush off excess glitter with a soft manicure brush.
Create a mermaid effect:
Apply your gel polish and cure it for 10 seconds. less time in your UV / LED lamp than the prescribed time of 30 seconds, or 1.5 minutes instead of 2 minutes in your UV lamp.
Apply the desired color Pixie Dust to the gel polish with the Glitter Brush,
Hard for another 30sec. off in your UV / LED lamp, or 2 min. in your UV lamp.
Apply a flexible top gel such as Flexy Ultra Shine by #LVS, Power Seal by #LVS, Prime Seal by #LVS, Rubber Top by #LVS, Base / Top Gel by #LVS or Supreme Matt by #LVS over this and cure it .
Note: this gives a more subtle effect over light colors than over darker colors.
For a real mermaid effect with glitter, we advise you to use one of the Sugar colors for a deeper effect.
